Unsuccessful Completion of Written or Clinical Component of the PCE

Once the College receives the examination results from the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR), the following process occurs with interim registrants who did not successfully pass the examination:

  • Interim registration will be cancelled 7 days after the results are posted by CAPR; once cancelled, you may not practice physical therapy, assign physical therapy services or hold yourself out as a physical therapist entitled to practice
  • The College will notify the interim registrant; it is the interim registrant’s responsibility to then notify their workplace supervisor
  • Once the interim permit has been cancelled, you cannot practice until you have passed the exams,  applied for and are granted full registration
