Farewell to Sue Murphy

The College wishes Sue Murphy a fulfilling retirement after 33 years as a physical therapist, educator and leader of the profession in British Columbia.

Sue has been a wonderful partner working alongside the CPTBC supporting many initiatives such as developing the Pledge as a marker to welcome new students to the profession and celebrate our professional commitment, taking action to address racism in physical therapy and the health system, promoting equity, diversity and inclusion, and developing and administering the alternate clinical examination.

Always valuing the connection between the College and the entry-level program, Sue has been committed to ensuring that the College’s contribution to the MPT program lays the groundwork for a positive, engaged relationship between students and the College. The CPTBC will always remember and value Sue’s special interest in physical therapists’ professional identity and professionalism. She is a leader in this field of study and has contributed much to ensuring professionalism in practice.

We wish Sue the very best in this next chapter.
