Survey of Post-Operative Rehab for Lumbar Spine Surgery

McMaster University is conducting a survey of post-operative lumbar spine surgery recommendations to understand current clinical practices of surgeons, physiotherapists, and chiropractors in Canada. The findings of this study will form the foundation for the development of evidence-based guidelines for post-operative lumbar spine care and rehabilitation.

The online survey will present you with three case scenarios based on the most commonly performed spine surgical procedures in Canada. Based on each case, you will be asked to report on your knowledge and clinical experience of when patients would be allowed to do certain movements or tasks and how soon you provide a list of exercise recommendations to patients.

The online survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Your survey responses will be kept strictly confidential and no personal identifying information will be collected. This project has been reviewed by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board under project number 12869.
