Health Professional-Investigator Competition opens for applications

The MSFHR Health Professional-Investigator (HP-I) Program offers five-year research grants to support health professionals who have research experience, and are actively involved in patient care.

The funding is open to BC health professionals that hold a valid license to practice as a member of a regulated health profession (as recognized by the BC Health Professions Act), or belong to a health profession requiring board certification.

The program helps to decrease the gap between health research and its implementation. The HP-I Program:

  • Identifies health professionals with a high potential for sustained research success.
  • Helps advance the research careers of health professionals.
  • Allows health professionals to link their practical knowledge in the care and treatment of patients with important research questions that can lead to improved quality of care.
  • Award term: up to five years.
